I did not ever think that I would have another cat who was similar to Kitty, however I think that Dutch is quite similar when it comes to affection and such. Dutch is a very affection cat, and I am so happy that he has come into my life. If it were not for Princess getting out accidentally I would not have him at all. And we almost share the same Birthday!!! He was born on September 7, 2001 the day before my birthday. What a wonderful Gift!!
I did not know that she had given birth either. The only reason that I knew was because she walked out and looked skinnier. I should have known that she was going to give birth though because she was being very affectionate the night before, and I had seen some blood from her, but I was not thinking. That night underneat my bed she gave birth, and I did not even know it!! She was so quiet!!
I went around the house trying to find where she had given birth, and I could not find the kittens. Finally I looked under my bed and found a single orangish/tanish and white kitten. He was so tiny!!!!! I could not believe how tiny he was. I looked for more kittens but I could not find any. She had only given birth to one kitten!! I could not believe it, and I was so happy too, because then I did not have to find homes for kittens because I could just keep him. After a long time I finally decided to name him Dutch. I could not name him Prince since that was not a name that I wanted, but I wanted some type of Royalty type name to keep a theme. Could not name him Dutchess, or Duke (that is a dogs name) so I finally decided on Dutch.
Dutch is such a playful kitten!! Too playful I can not keep up with him!! LOL And he is a pig!! I have never seen a cat eat as much as he does!! LOL AND he is greedy and selfish!! LOL Just kidding, but he is! LOL I will put out food for them, and he will eat all of his and then go for hers, and since she is so passive she will just let him take it. Finally I had to separate them into separate rooms so that he would not take her food, but he got smart and would start eatting his food, and then when I got busy with something else he would go to the other room, push her out of the way, and then start to eat hers. Then when he was done with that he would go back to eatting his!! What a piggy!! LOL He is selfish when it comes to attention too because when I try to give Princess affection he gets very jealous!! Just like a man!! LOL Just kidding!! LOL
Every night Dutch will cuddle up next to me, and fall asleep. It is so comforting to have him with me everynight. He will fall asleep purring away. I have never heard a cat purr so loud!!! He loves to sit on my computer desk when I am using it chasing the mouse on the screen. He gets so close to the screen I think he is going to need glasses soon!! LOL It is funny to watch him though since he thinks the mouse goes off the screen!!
The pictures I have of him on the page right now is some of him from the webcam that I have taken. I still need to get the pictures of him developed, and hope to do so soon.
