Tory was brought into my life as a gift, and that is exactly what he was, a true gift in my life. I had never met a cat that was so devoted to me. As a kitten Tory would follow me everywhere, and did not like the fact that I was not around him. If I walked into another room he would follow. It was so cute. And every night he would crawl up on my neck and fall asleep.
He was the tiniest little kitten, with the prettiest blue eyes, which of course changed over time. His fur a charcol grey/blue, almost looking like a Russian Blue. Lone ears, and face almost appearing as if he had some Siamese in him. What his actual breed is, I do not know since he was given to me as a gift from my Mother. She bought him at a local pet store in my home town, and he was the only cat that I had that actually came from a pet store. All of my other cats have been cats that have been discarded or people just not wanting them anymore.
I received Tory at the time when I was living with my roommate Amy (owner of Sadie)and so I was going to be bringing a new kitten into the home. I was not too sure how Sadie would act, but was quite pleased to find that Sadie was loved him, and treated him he was her kitten. She took care of him and they had great fun playing together. There is a picture of them together below.
Neither Tory or Sadie were very happy when I had to move, because they did not want to part. Tory was not too happy also since I had to take him home since I could not have pets in my new apartment. I was very sad about this since I did not want to leave him at home, but I did not have any choice in the matter. But soon Tory would find that he would have yet another wonderful friend.......Kitty
This is the only time that I have felt that I have let a cat down. Tory was not happy at all about me leaving him there at my parent's house. After I took him there he was never the same with me. It was as if he hated me, and I abandoned him, but I did not have any choice in the matter at the time since I was in college and could only take aparements that were affordable at the time. But soon Tory was happy because he loved my Mom, and he found a great friend in Kitty. They were inseperable, which was quite odd since it is normally hard to put two older male cats together, but I found that Kitty could get along with any cat....heck he got along with Marbles, and she was mean!! LOL There is a picture on Kitty's page of them together playing.
Once Tory started living at my parent's house he got into the habit of sneaking out of the house in prospects of "hunting", and he was a very good hunter!! He would take on squirrels, and has brought numerous rabbits, bird, and mice home, showing his "kill". He is quite a good hunter. Once we saw that he had killed a rabbit we put a bell on his collar so that he would scare them away before he could get to them, however he was smart enough to jam the bell so that it did not work anymore!! LOL
Tory is still living at my parent's house, and he is getting on in years. His desire to go outside has gone down a bit and he has even become a little bit more affectionate. He is still a handsome fellow and will always be my special kitty!!!
