Dedicated To All American M.I.A’s & P.O.W’s Killed Or Left Behind.
My life was but a mist, and gone so quick
Like an arrow shot from a bow
I’as America’s soldier of freedom
Now held captive by my foe
Choosing a soldier’s path I traveled
For a nation I trusted dear
Now its those I trusted most, I see
That creates my saddest tear
A soldier’s path, now a P. O. W. ’s
Seeing to rescue come my way
It’d be an easier path to travel
If rescue rainbows shined each day
Never plotted nor chose this traveled path
I see darkness, no red, white, or blue
Only raging storms, hail and wind
No rescue rainbows shinning through
I’m like a blinded man, without a cane
Carefully treading along a trail
Against enemy cliffs and jagged rocks
Upon hands and knees, I wail
Praying on calloused hands I travel
Is America gone, should I still plea?
Are any American soldiers left?
Do Rescue Rainbows shine o’er me?
